Higher Education Language skills certification

The CLES operates internationally and is a founding member of the NULTE network.  

The CLES has a scientific committee composed of French and international researchers.

This committee gives advice and makes proposals on the scientific quality of test contents and procedures. It also advises the CLES steering committee and the CLES management on questions of formative and certificating evaluation.

The Scientific Committee is chaired by the Director of the CLES National Coordination. It is made up of 10 members, all of whom working in higher education institutions in France and abroad. Members are recognised experts in linguistics, foreign language didactics, formative and certificating evaluation.

The members of the Strategic Orientation Committee of the CLES certification scheme are also permanent guests in the Scientific Committee
